Hard Work Pays Off

When the hot summer days rolled around, that was always my cue to head to work with my dad. He was a mason and the hardest working one I’ve ever met to this day. I definitely wasn’t allowed to slack off; I was expected to pull my weight. It was only on those early work mornings that my dad would let me drink a cup of black coffee with him. Working alongside my dad at the job sites is where I learned some key things about life, business, and the importance of your word.

“It’s the hard work that get’ you where you want to go. Nothing is given to you” is one of many lessons from my dad that’s stuck with me. So, in the summer of 2018, I began self-promoting by knocking on doors. Yes, I knocked on doors in the heat of the summer. Not exactly what I had in mind when starting a business, but I knew no one would work harder for me than myself. It was a humble beginning that grew my character. From there, I began using the skills I learned early on to build my clientele, and grow my business.

Over the years, as I have continued to learn things about business and hard work, the one thing I always come back to is being a man of integrity who sticks to his word. That’s exactly the kind of man my father is.

Here, we strive to be known by that as well. It’s these lessons and many others that now govern how I run and operate Brandt New Remodeling. We are dedicated to doing what we say, how we say, when we say. Our desire is to build trust with each of our customers to deliver them with the highest quality job at an affordable price.

I am proud and humbled to see where the Lord has bought this business over the last few years. I am thankful for the life lessons I learned from my dad, the wisdom he passed down to me, and the habits he ingrained in me, one of them still being that dark cup of coffee before the start of the day.
